I'M DAISY CALDERON
Passionate about storytelling, I'm a journalist who graduated from Mohawk College with a goal to become a news anchor. I grew up watching the news and was always interested in what goes on behind the scenes and how media works. I have done many internships including one at my local news station, Cable 14, as a segment producer/reporter, where I am rapidly growing my skills. With a natural talent for crafting compelling stories, I strive to inform, inspire, and captivate my audience, whether it's through writing or on camera. I'm excited to see where my journey takes me in the world of journalism and beyond.
Why Journalism?
Something that I enjoy is lending a helping hand to others. When I started J-school, I wanted to focus on covering politics and hard news. However, throughout the years and my time interning, I developed a soft spot for my local community and its small businesses. I want to gain unique insight into the heartbeat of my town, fostering a connection with its people and the issues that matter most.
